Is your organization eligible?
Any of the following non-federal government organizations whose work is related to natural resource sciences can be a partner:
- Private sector organizations
- Universities and colleges
- Provincial and municipal governments
- Non-profit organizations
Your Obligations
- Ensure the proposed project meets the objectives and criteria of the program
- Recruit, hire, and match youth to projects
- Match Science and Technology Internship Program funding with at least an equal amount in salary
- Provide supervision, training, and direction to ensure a meaningful work experience
- Assume responsibility for payment of wages and any other approved costs
- Provide the intern with a completed performance evaluation and NRCan with a project evaluation at the end of the internship
- Assist the intern in securing longer term attachment to the Canadian labour market
- Secure commitment from the intern to participate in a Post-Internship Questionnaire
- Acknowledge the financial assistance of the federal government and NRCan
- Comply with all the Terms and Conditions of your Contribution agreement
- Comply with the Personal Information and Protection of Electronic Documents Act
- Co-operate if audited and/or asked to participate in a program-wide evaluation
