Mary Outhwaite, Policy and Performance Analyst, Canadian Forest Service, PARDP Graduate
- Knowing that I am working to enrich the lives of Canadians is very rewarding
- The program has provided me with a very strong network, endless opportunities for personal and professional development and with the confidence to move forward in my career in the Public Service.
- The unique rotational assignments PARDP offers recruits the opportunity to gain a comprehensive knowledge of natural resource issues. From the high-level intergovernmental issues I worked on in the Science and Policy Integration Sector, to the more specific issues I worked on in the Energy Sector, I have been exposed to many of the issues facing resource based communities in Canada and internationally.
Jeffrey Philips, Policy Advisor to the Deputy Minister, PARDP Graduate
- The most appealing part of PARDP to me is the instant network of colleagues and friends. As you advance in your career, you come to really rely on this network as an integral part of your job.
- Like any other development program, you get out of it what you put in.
Michael de la Mothe, PARDP Policy Analyst
- My progress has been supplemented by opportunities to better my language skills and enhance my corporate knowledge through departmental networks.
- As an analyst at NRCan, my development has been spurred by challenging and interesting files that have an impact on the day to day lives’ of Canadians.
- All of this would not have been possible without the support I received from my management who have allowed me to take on learning opportunities when they have presented themselves.
What Managers are Saying
