Orthorectification

Orthorectification research activities at CCRS strive to investigate the full processing chain of satellite photo / radargrammetry.

Some examples of current orthorectification research activities at CCRS include :

A complete orthorectified Landsat 7 mosaic of the Canadian arctic archipelago (2010 – 04): A completed orthorectified Landsat 7 (ETM+) mosaic of the Canadian Arctic Archipelago created from a set of 280 scenes from three multispectral bands (741 - RGB) in false-color.

3D Radargrammetric Modeling of RADARSAT-2 Ultra-Fine Mode: Preliminary Results of the Geometric Evaluation (2009 – 01) : in order to appropriately use the new high-resolution and polarimetric modes of RADARSAT-2 SAR data, a precise, rigorous and robust 3-D radargrammetric model must be developed and evaluated.

Northern Land Cover of Canada – Circa 2000 (2009 – 01): generated to provide spatially and thematically consistent land and vegetation cover information for North of the treeline, this dataset was based on medium- resolution (30 m) Landsat images.
