Help - Web mapping applications

System requirements

These GDR Web mapping applications have the following requirements:

• Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 5.0 or higher) or Netscape Navigator (version 4.7 or higher) or equivalent.
  • Digital geoscience maps : Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, or Netscape 7.1 or higher
• Javascript must be enabled
• Some applications download and run Java components automatically. For those applications, Java must be enabled.
• Some applications display information in 'popup' windows, in order to preserve the state of the Web application. For those applications, 'popup' windows must not be blocked.

Additional software

Some applications provide information or downloaded data in non-HTML format, requiring the use of third-party software to access the information:

• compressed .zip files
  You will need WinZip, PKZip, gzip (GNU zip) or a similar utility to extract the data files from these compressed files.
• .pdf files
  Download the Adobe Reader.

These applications use frames and are unfortunately not available in non-frames versions.
