How to Purchase Air Photos

Accurately identifying the air photo you wish to purchase has never been easier. The web site guides you along a straightforward, three-step process:

Step 1: LOCATE your AREA OF INTEREST (AOI) on the map
Step 2: RETRIEVE PHOTOS using search criteria
Step 3: SUBMIT ORDER, Configure and Order Your Products by e-mail

These three simple steps can be repeated for multiple sets of data, assigning a name of your own choice to each set. Upon submitting order you select from a number of print and digital formats for each data set.

Step 1: Locate your area of interest on the map

Draw Area of Interest Tool

You can also draw your own area of interest using the "Draw AOI" tool on the tool bar. Select the "Draw AOI" tool then click and while continuing to hold down the right hand mouse key move your mouse around your area of interest.

A black rectangle will form as you do this - extending and shrinking as you move your move from and towards the point you started the click from. When you release the mouse button the area enclosed by the rectangle will be the defined area of interest for doing a search.

The search features makes it easy and quick to define where you want to search.

Map Navigation:

Map Pan:

Directional arrows allowing you to "pan" or move the map in the direction of the arrows surround the "map view" window. This is especially useful when you want to scroll the map in a particular direction without having to zoom up or zoom down.

Centering Tool

Centering:

Just click the "Recenter" tool and then click a location shown on the map. It will re-center the map on that location. No zooming will occur.

Zoom Bar

Zoom Bar:

The zoom bar allows you to vary the scale the map being displaying. When trying to zoom in or out in discrete steps clicking on the little rectangles on the vertical bar will adjust your viewing scale up or down. The top and bottom graphical elements on the zoom bar increment or decrement the scale by one level everytime you click on the zoom bar.

Zoom in Tool

Drag and Zoom:

Click the "Zoom in" tool and using the map interface you simply click and while continuing to hold down the right hand mouse key move your mouse around your area of interest. A red rectangle will form as you do this - extending and shrinking as you move your cursor from and towards the point. When you release the mouse button the area enclosed by the rectangle will be the area of zoom. To zoom out select the "Zoom Out" tool and repeat the same steps.

Step 2: Retrieve air photos available for ordering
