Satellite Facilities
Reception Services
The Prince Albert (PASS) and Gatineau (GSS) Satellite Stations provide complete coverage of the Canadian landmass and coastlines. Coverage extends well into the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, as well as the continental United States including a significant portion of Alaska.
Gatineau Satellite Station
A/Station Manager: Gary Crocker
The Gatineau Satellite Station presently receives data from the following Earth observation satellites:
The Canada Centre for Remote Sensing has operated the Gatineau Satellite Station since October 1985.
Gatineau Satellite Station Location and Reception System Capabilities
The station is located in Cantley, Quebec, and consists of a main operations building with an annex and two S/X-Band 10 metre satellite receiving antennae.
The size and layout of the facility allows for additional receiving antennae.
