Current Programs

Clean Energy Innovation Program
Clean Energy Innovation key priority areas are: renewable, smart grid and storage systems; reducing diesel use by industrial operators in northern and remote communities; methane and VOC emission reduction; reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the building sector; carbon capture, use and storage; improving industrial efficiency.

Oil and Gas Clean Tech Program
The Oil and Gas Clean Tech Progam supports development of clean oil and gas technologies, in order to help develop Canada’s hydrocarbon resources in sustainable ways.

Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Demonstrations (EVID)
EVID is undertaking Front End Engineering Design (FEED) studies and demonstrations to reduce the costs, understand the impacts and address potential hurdles for the deployment of next-generation charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

 

Oil Spill Response Science Program
The Oil Spill Response Science (OSRS) Program is a program to support the Government of Canada’s Oceans Protection Plan (formerly known as World-Class Tanker Safety System).

Program of Energy Research and Development (PERD)
PERD funds research and development designed to ensure a sustainable energy future for Canada in the best interests of both our economy and our environment.

 

Legacy Programs

The ecoENERGY Innovation Initiative (ecoEII)
ecoEII supported energy technology innovation projects which produce and use energy in a cleaner and more efficient way.

Clean Energy Fund (CEF)
CEF supported clean energy research, development and demonstration projects in Canada.
