Senior Researcher, Buildings and Renewables Group

In 1999, Anil began his career at CanmetENERGY-Ottawa as a Senior Researcher. Anil has co-authored a number of research papers dealing with housing energy efficiency and is a regular contributor for webinars for practitioners, including “Benchmarking of energy savings associated with energy efficient lighting in houses”, which emphasises the house-as-a-system approach to evaluating energy efficient technologies. He has also led the development of technical requirements of next-generation energy efficiency standards for Natural Resources Canada’s housing programs, and managed the nation-wide project on developing housing technology options leading to “Path to Net Zero” for Canadian housing.
