Cable, satellite and telecom service providers—set-top boxes

Cable, satellite and telecom service providers supply video and other content to subscribers with whom they have contracts. In the context of ENERGY STAR^® certification, service providers distribute ENERGY STAR certified set-top boxes with network interface capability as well as thin-client set-top boxes.

Service providers of ENERGY STAR certified set-top boxes are required by Natural Resources Canada to be official ENERGY STAR Canada Participants.

The service providers that have become ENERGY STAR Participants and are promoting and using the ENERGY STAR symbol in Canada are listed in on the NRCan web site.

The ENERGY STAR name and symbol are trademarks registered in Canada by the United States Environmental Protection Agency and are administered and promoted by Natural Resources Canada.
