Promoting energy efficiency across Canada

The ENERGY STAR® Initiative in Canada is administered by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) but it is brought to life by its Participants.

There are more than 1,000 business and organizations across the country that have signed a formal arrangement with NRCan to promote energy efficiency in the manufacture, sale and operation of products and equipment. Participants include manufacturers, retailers, utilities, energy efficiency and environmental advocates, as well as provincial, territorial and municipal governments.

This highly successful industry-government partnership is transforming the way Canadians use energy.

In addition, more than 1,100 builders and related service organizations take part in NRCan’s ENERGY STAR® for New Homes initiative.

The ENERGY STAR name and symbol are administered and promoted in Canada by Natural Resources Canada and are registered in Canada by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
