The Government of Canada supports research and development to harness the availability of bio-resources to produce bio-energy, bio-fuels, bio-products, and industrial bio-processes that will help Canadian industry and communities meet clean air, efficiency, sustainability and climate change challenges.
The Office of Energy R&D provides funding for R&D to harness the potential for bio-resources to produce bio-energy, bio-fuels, industrial bio-products and bio-processes to help Canadian industry and communities meet the challenges of improving efficiency and reducing toxic air emissions. The Office also manages and funds the Canadian Biomass Innovation Network (CBIN).
