Minister Oliver to Visit China and Japan

OTTAWA — The Honourable Joe Oliver, Minister of Natural Resources, will travel to China and Japan from November 4 to 12 to meet with government officials and industry leaders and discuss important market diversification opportunities for Canada’s energy, mining and forest industries.

Minister Oliver will attend the China Mining Congress and Expo 2011 and meet with international counterparts.

In Tokyo, Japan, Minister Oliver will meet with various government and private sector officials and deliver a speech to a Canadian and Japanese business audience.
