Minister Oliver Highlights Importance of Canada’s Mining Industry to Canada’s Economy

TORONTO — The Honourable Joe Oliver, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, will deliver remarks at an event hosted by the Mining Association of Canada in partnership with the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and the Ontario Mining Association. Minister Oliver will highlight how the Harper Government is helping the mining industry create jobs, growth and long-term prosperity for all Canadians.

Minister Oliver will be available briefly to answer questions from the media following his remarks.
