Atlas of Canadian Dimension Stone

This 2007 atlas is a synopsis of the dimension stone industry in Canada. It is an update of a directory called Stone Industry in Canada, published in 1995 by the Minerals and Metals Sector, Natural Resources Canada, with the cooperation of the stone industry and the provincial governments.

The CD-ROM atlas contains a compilation of information on producers and fabricators of natural stone products in Canada, including contact information for companies’ head offices and fabrication plants, descriptions of available stones with photos, and technical information where available. A map interface shows the location of most of the building stone quarries operating in Canada. A glossary of geological, architectural and stone industry terms is also included.
