Explosive Regulations and the Industry

The Explosives Regulatory Division (ERD) provides licensing services to manufacturers, importers and distributors of explosives within Canada. These licences, certificates and permits cover a wide range of operations from the construction of complex explosive factory sites to the authorization of explosives for importation into Canada. Applications for these various categories are submitted using the guidelines and forms developed for each application type.

The ERD regulates the following activities:
