PROCEDURE FOR PAYMENT OF FEES

The fees non-destructive testing (NDT) candidates must pay are listed here:

Of the total fee payable, part is collected by the NDT Certifying Agency (payable to the Receiver General for Canada), and part is collected and payable to the test centre.

The following forms of payment are accepted by the NDT Certifying Agency:

  • Company or certified cheques
  • Money orders
  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • American Express

Candidate Application Fee

This fee is payable to the Receiver General for Canada at the time an application form is submitted to the NDT Certifying Agency for assessment of examination eligibility. Please note that assessment of application forms will not be performed unless this fee accompanies the application. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable, and applies only to the initial application form for a given method and level, regardless of the number of repeat examinations.

Written Examination Fees

  1. Registration fee - payable to Receiver General for Canada. This fee can be remitted at the same time as the candidate application fee, or separately. The NDT Certifying Agency must receive this fee before it can issue the written examination admittance and registration form, which allows the NDT candidate to participate in the examination(s). This fee is refundable as long as the NDT candidate informs the NDT Certifying Agency that he or she will not proceed with the written examination(s).
  2. Test Centre fee - payable to the selected test centre at the time the NDT candidate appears for written examination.

Practical Examination Fees

  1. Registration fee - payable to Receiver General for Canada. This fee applies to all NDT candidates taking practical tests regardless of the test centre utilized. The NDT Certifying Agency must receive this fee before it can issue the practical examination admittance and registration form, which allows the NDT candidate to participate in the examination. This fee is refundable as long as the NDT candidate informs the NDT Certifying Agency that he or she will not proceed with the examination(s).
  2. Test Centre fee - payable to the selected test centre at the time the NDT candidate appears for practical examination.
