Re-certification and Renewal

RE-CERTIFICATION

Re-certification is conducted to verify an individual's current knowledge. Certified individuals are required to re-certify by successfully completing a simplified examination prior to the tenth anniversary of their initial certification and every ten years thereafter.

Certification renewal is conducted to verify evidence of continued satisfactory work and to ensure individuals continue to meet the vision requirements. Certified candidates will be renewed according to a three-year common renewal cycle based on candidates’ last names.
