Re-certification and Renewal
RE-CERTIFICATION (BY EXAMINATION)
Recertification is conducted to verify an individual's current knowledge. Certified individuals will have to recertify by successfully completing a simplified examination prior to the tenth anniversary of their initial certification and every ten years thereafter.
Renewal of certification is conducted to verify evidence of continued satisfactory work experience and to ensure individuals continue to meet the vision requirements. The certified candidates will be renewed based on a three-year common renewal cycle depending on the candidate's last name.
