LNG Supply Chain

Interconnected elements include the gas field, liquefaction plant, LNG storage tank, LNG tanker, LNG storage tank, vaporizers, and pipeline systems.
In LNG exporting countries, natural gas is extracted from basins and transported by pipeline to liquefaction plants. There, the natural gas is liquefied and stored.

LNG Exports

This is a pie chart with the top 10 exporters of LNG in 2011. This includes Qatar (31%), Malaysia (10%), Indonesia (9%), Australia (8%), Nigeria (8%), Trinidad (6%), Algeria (5%), Russia (4%), Oman (3%), Brunei (3%) and the remaining exporting countries represent 11% of exports.

LNG Imports

This is a pie chart with the top 10 importers of LNG in 2011. This includes Japan (33%), Korea (15%), the United Kingdom (8%), Spain (7%), China(8%), India (5%), Taiwan (5%), France (4%), Italy (3%), the United States (2%) and the remaining importing countries represent 13% of imports.
“Others” include Turkey, Belgium, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Canada, Kuwait, Portugal, United Arab Emirates, Greece, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Brazil, the Netherlands and Puerto Rico.
