- 3. Plan, document, and complete your home retrofits
- 4. Book your post-retrofit evaluation and apply for reimbursement
- 5. Receive your reimbursement
As the final step in the process, once our program officers have completed a review of your file and recommended grant amount, you will be prompted to go into the portal to confirm your grant total in order to receive your reimbursement.
If you do not agree with the amount and explanation, you will be asked to provide your rationale so that your grant application can be reassessed. If you would like to discuss your final grant total or dispute the claim, please contact the Greener Homes initiative.
For Quebec and Nova Scotia residents
If you completed at least one retrofit that was both recommended by your energy advisor under Rénoclimat or the Home Energy Assessment program and eligible under the Canada Greener Homes Grant, NRCan will contact you directly about any additional grants.

By making home retrofits, you will help Canada meet its 2030 climate change commitments and significantly contribute to Canada’s goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
