Buy ENERGY STAR® to save you money!

An ENERGY STAR certified coin-operated or pay-for-use washing machine uses 25% less energy, on average, than a standard model and 45% less water. These types of washing machines are most commonly used in laundromats, apartment buildings and buildings with multiple units. Saving energy saves money and reduces your carbon footprint.

Key features

Pay-for-use clothes washers
  • Internet connectivity, which allows your pay-for-use washing machine to send automatic alarms to users, letting them know when a washer is free or when to move clothes from the washer to the dryer (this feature available on some models).
  • More capacity than conventional washing machines, which makes them gentler on clothes. This also allows users to wash big, bulky items.
