Open North, one of Canada's leading non-profit organization specialized in open data and civic technology will present via a webinar the findings thus far from the Open Smart Cities in Canada project on August 30th, 2017 from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm EDT.  This research is led by Open North and funded by Natural Resources Canada GeoConnections.

This Project’s research consists of a preliminary environmental-scan (E-scan) and gap analysis of smart city definitions, actors, standards and pathways; a Canadian smart cities assessment report at the project’s four partnering Cities; and a report on international policy mobilities and best practices surrounding open and geospatial data in a smart city context. The presentation will be delivered in a bilingual format (English/French).
