VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Wai Young, Member of Parliament for Vancouver South, on behalf of Joe Oliver, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, will deliver remarks at the official opening of the University of British Columbia’s new Bioenergy Research and Demonstration Facility.

In February 2011, the Government of Canada announced an investment of $13.7 million in support of this project expected to reduce the University of British Columbia’s greenhouse gas emissions by 5,000 tonnes annually.
