HAMILTON, ONTARIO — The Honourable Joe Oliver, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources, will unveil a monument honouring Canada’s manufacturing and mining history as part of National Mining Week. Minister Oliver will be joined by Bob Bratina, Mayor of the City of Hamilton; Zach Douglas, President and CEO of the McMaster Innovation Park; and Nick Markettos, Assistant Vice-President of Research Partnerships at McMaster University. A media availability and photo opportunity will follow the unveiling.

Media are invited to join Minister Oliver as he tours Natural Resources Canada’s CanmetMATERIALS facility prior to the unveiling.  The tour will include a photo opportunity with Minister Oliver.
