Tenaris is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of steel pipe products and related services for the world’s energy industry. Their customers include most of the world’s leading oil and gas companies and engineering companies engaged in constructing oil and gas products and services.

Tenaris serves customers in more than 30 countries with manufacturing facilities in 15 countries and research & development centers in four countries. In Canada, Tenaris has service centres, commercial offices and manufacturing centres totalling a production capacity of nearly 650,000 tons of pipe annually.

Tenaris Algoma Tubes, the manufacturing centre located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, produces 250,000 tons of seamless pipe product annually, which contributes more than 700 local jobs. The oil & gas and pipeline products produced consist of a wide range of seamless drilling and line pipe solutions capable of withstanding Canada’s diverse environmental conditions.

Tenaris plays an important role in Responsible Resource Development. They are an innovative company with skilled jobs that service the resource sector by providing quality steel pipe products to major economic projects, so that Canada’s natural resources are responsibly developed for the benefit of all Canadians.

The plan for Responsible Resources Development is founded on four main pillars: making project reviews more predictable and timely; reducing duplication of project reviews; strengthening environmental protection; and enhancing consultations with Aboriginal peoples. This plan will allow Canada to achieve the goal of one project, one review, in a clearly defined time period. It will also achieve the balance we need now to unleash the potential of our resource sector to create good jobs across Canada while ensuring strong environmental protection.
