Materials Research Areas

More than 90 percent of CanmetMATERIALS’ research activities are done with partners across Canada and internationally in the lab’s four main program areas:

  • Transportation, Buildings and Industry
  • Clean Energy Production
  • Pipelines
  • Emerging and Defence Materials

These partnerships are organized under collaborative research and development agreements, task-sharing agreements, memoranda of understanding and consortia agreements. Read about partnering opportunities for more information about working with CanmetMATERIALS.
