Annual Increase of Fees
The Explosives Regulatory Division (ERD) will implement annual, indexed increase to its fees to keep pace with inflation. Annual fees increment based the Consumer Price Index (CPI), as per the Service Fees Act provisions, will be added to ERD’s fees for authorizations, permits, licences and certificates.
On April 1, 2019 and every subsequent year on April 1, all fees set out in PART 19 of Explosives Regulations, 2013 will be adjusted by the percentage change over 12 months in the April All-items Consumer Price Index for Canada, as published by Statistics Canada under the Statistics Act, for the previous fiscal year. All adjusted fees will be rounded to the nearest dollar.
The April 2019 CPI rate of 2% will be used for our indexing for the fiscal year of 2020-2021 beginning on April 1, 2020. Therefore, the following fees of PART 19 table will be in effect April 1st, 2020:
