The purpose of this consultation is to modernize the regulatory framework governing oil and gas activities in Canada's frontier and offshore oil and gas areas. Stakeholders in oil and gas will be provided with draft regulations for comments.
The purpose of this consultation is to develop regulations to support the occupational health and safety (OHS) regime that the Canada-Newfoundland Atlantic Accord Implementation Act and the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Resources Accord Implementation Act. Draft regulation will be provided to key stakeholders from the offshore oil and gas industry in Atlantic Canada for comments.

Pipeline Financial Requirements Regulations

This consultation focused on strengthening Canada's pipeline safety regime through new regulations that supported the absolute liability (“no fault") regime for companies operating federally regulated pipelines. The regulations were in support of the new Pipeline Safety Act.
